Comprehensive Answers
What does a psychoeducational evaluation include?
Evaluations can vary depending on the referral concern. Evaluations can include:
Parent interview
Student interview
Input from teachers, tutors, therapists, etc.
Classroom observations
Assessment of cognitive abilities
Assessment of academic achievement
Assessment of social-emotional functioning
Comprehensive report with individualized recommendations
Additional testing sessions
How much will the evaluation cost?
Cost varies due to the type of assessments administered, whether the evaluation is bilingual or monolingual, and/or if the evaluator's presence is requested at the meeting. Before starting the evaluation, we’ll talk about the plan for what assessments will be administered. The starting rate is $900 to 1500, and the price is negotiable.
Do you accept insurance?
Unfortunately, Esperanza cannot accept insurance. Insurance companies do not deem psychoeducational evaluations as "medically necessary." Here at Esperanza, we offer quotes of evaluation costs. Payment is expected after the report is complete. We can work with you throughout this process.
